Belgrade-based "Pevec" in restructuring – retail space on ground floor, shopping center on first floor

- Belgrade-based "Pevec" is in the restructuring phase, and it will look completely different in 45 days. The whole retail space will be moved to the ground floor, while a shopping center will be opened on the first floor. We expect to make “Pevec” more attractive to consumers in Serbia in this way – says Dragan Malinović, the Director of this center.

An innovation in future operations of this center is reduced assortment, as well as greater cooperation with Serbian suppliers. By the way, at the moment, 80% of goods in the center are made in Serbia, while the rest of the goods are imported. Let us remind that "Pevec" first had 70% of imported products in its offer.

When asked why the company decided to make such change, Malinović said that the consumers’ needs at the time of the crisis were different, as well as that it was simpler for "Pevec" to do business in that way at the moment.

Krunoslava Blaha, the spokesperson of "Pevec Group", told "Politika" that company was in restructuring process and that audit company KPMG had been working on that for two months. The report should be made by the end of the week, and that is when the new business and sales plan for the next 18 months will be finished.
