Pfizer and BioNTech filed the necessary documentation for the registration of a vaccine against Covid in Serbia to the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices on December 2, RTS learns.

This was agreed the day before at the meeting between the companies’ representatives with the prime minister and the health minister.

The vaccine of the American company Pfizer and the German company BioNTech has proven to be 95% efficient following the third phase of the testing. It is taken in two doses.

BioNTech is working on finding a formula that would enable the vaccine’s keeping at room temperature, because, according to the current data, it needs to be kept at –75 degrees Celsius, which is a problem when it comes to distribution.

Earlier the same day, Great Britain approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, becoming the first country in the world to do so.
