The members of the Visegrad Group – Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland – are planning the construction of a high-speed railway that would connect Budapest, Bratislava, Ostrava and Warsaw.

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said after a talk with the vice-president of the European Investment Bank, Vazil Hudak, that it would be one of the most ambitious railway projects of the Visegrad Four.

The preparation of a feasibility study is planned, and the four countries expect the EIB to partially fund the project, MTI reports.
