"Turnkey" for assembly facilities - Konstruktor grupa is expanding business to real estate

Belgrade-based Konstruktor grupa is one of the leading companies in Serbia in the field of construction of assembly facilities as "turnkey" system. In 11 years of business, it has results – with more than 115 designed and conducted facilities and more than 300.000 m2. Company’s advantage is the fact that within Konstruktor grupa, three companies operate, complementary offers and high financial rating Konsalting, Metal and Distribucija, which completes and circles service for clients.

"Turnkey construction system"

- Basic company Konstruktor konsalting offers “turnkey” solutions, mainly in design and construction of industrial and distribution facilities, Konstruktor metal with its high production capacities is able to support any technical solution in the field of steel and aluminum constructions while Konstruktor distribucija provides quality construction materials - Ognjen Kisin, executive manager of the company, a construction engineer, says for eKapija.

The most important company mission, as our collocutor says, is to satisfy an investor and deliver facility which will completely fill the needs. The projects they are especially proud of they set aside Sabac Capitol Park, Eyemaxx in Novi Banovci, IPB (Industrial park Belgrade) in Krnjesevci, Grundfos in Indiji, which was the biggest greenfield investment in Serbia, Kalman 1 and 2 in Simanovci, 2 departments at Japan Tobacco in Senta, RTB Bor (Energana and Oblast 1000), Agropromet, Meriott", Marbo-Pepsico, CBT Vrcin (2 facilities), etc.

Konstruktor grupa is a distributor of renowned Austrian company, Bruch in the field of thermal insulation sandwich panels while it sells quality aluminum composite panel of its own K-bond brand.

Our collocutor says the start was not easy. Konstruktor konsalting was set up first and it took courage to expand business and step into contracting.

Important years in development of Konstruktor are 2010 and 2011 when they implemented two strategic decisions: in Rakovica, a modern business and production center was made which is today a place where design and production start all company activities and two complementary companies were set up Konstruktor metal and Konstruktor distribucija.

Approximately 500 tons of steel constructions per month

With the setup of Konstruktor metal, the group got its production department on 10.000 m2. Maximal production capacity for steel constructions on monthly basis goes up to even 500 tons. He adds they offer clients the option of confection of products on modern machines which significantly facilitates business to smaller producers and shortens the way from quality to final product.

Continued investing is a syntagmatic expression of Konstruktor’s success – every year, almost entire profit is invested in new machines and other modern equipment, expansion of business and distribution area in Rakovica and various options which lead to new businesses development.

Profit of EUR 20 m

This family company succeeded, despite serious crisis in constriction lately, in increasing profit to almost EUR 20 m.

- In the period 2009 to 2014, the company generated income growth of 10 times while profit in the same period really increased for five times (in EUR). Current references and financial stability (which is rare in these times) almost certainly place Konstruktor at the first position in the field. Thus, Kontruktor, in 11 years, showed that with one’s own strengths and knowledge, one can succeed in Serbia and manage business successfully in difficult times and under very difficult market conditions–Kisin explains.

So far, Konstruktor Grupa was hired mainly on projects in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and maximally focused on professional investors. Majority of investors were foreign companies which, as Kisin says, recognized Konstruktor grupa as a responsible and quality partner.

Business in real estate field

Market expansion is coming as well as business expansion. New objective of Konstruktor grupa is to step into real estate development.
