Serbian cloud hosting company mCloud was sold to Italy's DHH for EUR 195,000, the Italian company announced. DHH completed the acquisition of the 62% of the company for a total value of 195.000 EUR, with the option to buy the other 38% in 2 years.

In parallel, mCloud acquired Novi Sad-based Plus Hosting, owned by DHH. The Italian company has thereby consolidated its presence in Serbia. As the director of mCloud, Jelena Opacic, announced, their offer will no longer be limited to cloud services. It will soon be expanded to include shared hosting packages and the company will continue operating under its own brand.

mCloud was formed in 2013 as a sub-brand of Mainstream. In March 2018, it became a separate legal entity dedicated to the provision of advanced hosting services.

– Thanks to this deal we enter in the cloud computing market and we also make the first step to consolidate our market presence in Serbia. Even if it can be considered as a startup, mCloud has solid traction in place, with a double-digit growth rate on bookings. Furthermore, it is led by a great entrepreneur, Bosko Radivojevic, one of the pioneers of the internet industry in Serbia. Furthermore, despite its small size, mCloud has a powerful team in place, led by Jelena Opacic, former marketing director of several successful web hosting providers in Serbia and member of the Register of National Internet Domain Names (RNIDS) – commented Giandomenico Sica, President of DHH.

DHH is an industrial investment company focused on the web hosting, SaaS and cloud-computing industry with the goal of creating the leading “Internet Platform of European emerging markets” (with the focus on Italy and the Western Balkans). This is their sixth acquisition, and they have invested in nine companies so far.
