Serbian food producers contract export to Russia worth EUR 12 million – Successful presentation at Prodexpo 2018

The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia said on Saturday, February 10, 2018, that the presentation of the Serbian companies from the food sector at Moscow Prodexpo 2018 had been successful, as confirmed by the fact that nine contracts and three pre-contracts were signed.

The total value of the contracted arrangements for export to the Russian Federation amounts to around EUR 12 million, says the CCIS website.

The CCIS also adds that the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia awarded Carnex with a special product quality acknowledgement, in the competition of 2,450 exhibitors from 63 countries and 31 national exhibits.

The presentation of 15 companies from Serbia at the biggest fair event in Moscow was organized by the CCIS and the Development Agency of Serbia, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), through the project Aid for Trade: Support to Productive Capacities in the Agro-industrial Sector in Serbia, financed by Government of the Russian Federation.

The companies featured at the national stand of Serbia were Bahus Paracin, Meggle Srbija Kragujevac, PIP Novi Sad, Carnex Vrbas, Beocapra Sid, Agricultural Cooperative Moravac Leskovac, Nectar Backa Palanka, KUC-Company Kragujevac, Mlekara Sabac, as well as Belgrade-based companies ITN Group, Master Fruits, Mundorama, National Distribution, Zlatiborac and Mirax Agrar.

Prodexpo 2018 was held from February 5 through 9.
