Russian company RZD International announced on Monday, June 6, that it had finished reconstructing three northern sections of Corridor 10 worth USD 48.7 mil well before the deadline, thereby fulfilling all its obligations as a signee of the annex to the agreement of October 2014.

The announcement says that, in accordance with the conditions of the agreement, the construction work on the restoration of three sections of Corridor 10 of the total length of over 65km has been finished. The sections are: Sopot Kosmajski – Kovacevac (18km), Mala Krsna – Velika Plana (29km) and Ruma – Golubinci (18km).

- The investor, Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije, signed the final certificate on 1 June 2016, even though it had been assumed, based on the investor's pace of construction, that the works would last until February 2017 – the announcement says.

It also adds that the finalizing of the construction work before the deadline was possible thanks to the organizational solutions and the application of modern, efficient Russian technology and mechanization for railway reconstruction, which is the result of the increase in speed of train transportation from 30 to 120 kilometers per hour.
